UNKNOWN_EXCEPTION: An unexpected error occurred. Please include this ErrorId if you contact support.

When performing a deployment with Copado the deployment might fail with the error below:

"UNKNOWN_EXCEPTION: An unexpected error occurred. Please include this ErrorId if you contact support.<number>"

This API exception is thrown by Salesforce and not by Copado. We do not have any extra information related to the error or the component that could be causing it. 

Whenever a deployment fail with that exception, you should receive an email like this:

"'Fatal Deployment, see attached file for debugging, reproduce error with ant, and share with customer support.

The email should contain an attachment with the zip file that was used in that deployment. You can use that file to perform some debugging, reproduce the same error by deploying the zip file with ANT and contact Salesforce Support to get more information about the exception. Salesforce should be able to provide you with more details by looking that the deployment logs. The package.xml file used in the deployment is included in the zip file attached in the email.

If you deploy the same components without using the zip file provided in the email, the results might be different. If your deployment is a Git Promotion deployment, you will be deploying the content on the promotion branch for that specific deployment which might be different than the contact retrieved directly from the org since there wasn't any branch merge involved in that process.
