Retrieve Commits in Git Snapshot

Updated 1 week ago by Copado Solutions

This feature allows you to retrieve all commit data into Copado so that it can be used to deploy from Git using Git Metadata steps or to compare metadata files using the snapshot differences functionality.

You can retrieve commits from your repository by following the steps below:

  1. Select a Git Snapshot record.
  2. Click on Retrieve Commits:

  1. Wait a few minutes and reload the page.
  2. All the commits retrieved will be displayed on the Snapshot Commits related list.
Please note that retrieved commits (snapshot commits) contain a unique commit Id. When the retrieve is performed, the snapshot commits that already exist in Copado in the same branch and with the same commit Id are mass updated with the new credential and Git snapshot.
